The real Algarve experience isn\u2019t found on the coast, but a good distance inland. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Algarve&#8217;s interior offers mountain air in <strong>Monchique<\/strong>, quiet villages along the <strong>Via Algarviana<\/strong>, and coastal trails of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/naturetravellab.com\/portugal\/waarom-de-rota-vicentina-wandelen\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2794\">Rota Vicentina<\/a><\/strong> where your shoes fill with sand and your mind clears of its own accord. The landscape is gentle, with enough elevation changes to keep your calves engaged, but without any mountaineering-style challenges. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are a few areas to add to your list:<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1.
