      Day-by-Day Itinerary for the Fife Coastal Path <\/h2>\n\n

      Day 1: Arrival in Leven<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

      You\u2019ll start in Leven, a coastal town with a wide sandy beach and a boardwalk. It\u2019s the perfect place to get into the swing of things: get some fresh air, enjoy a coffee by the sea, and turn in early. Leven is also easily accessible from Edinburgh.       Day 2: From Leven to Elie (and back to Leven)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

      • Elevation: +85 \/ -85<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

        Today you\u2019ll walk along Largo Bay and through Lower Largo, the birthplace of Alexander Selkirk (the inspiration for Robinson Crusoe). Then you\u2019ll continue along more dramatic stretches of coastline toward Earlsferry and Shell Bay Beach. In Elie, a picturesque little harbor and the Elie Ness Lighthouse await you. <\/p>\n\n

        Practical detail: Since there are few places to stay in Elie, you\u2019ll be spending the night in Leven again. A round-trip taxi ride is included (pickup at The Ship Inn in Elie). Overnight Stay: Life<\/p>\n\n

        Day 3: From Elie to Crail (fishing villages & marine life)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

          In the morning, you\u2019ll be taken back to Elie to continue your walk.Along the way, you\u2019ll pass through St. Monans and the bustling little harbor of Pittenweem. You\u2019ll pass through Anstruther (a perfect place for lunch\u2014fish and chips!) and, if your timing is right, you can even take a boat trip to the Isle of May Nature Reserve to spot puffins and seals, among other wildlife. <\/p>\n\n

          You’ll end up in Crail, a small harbor town where you’ll often find freshly caught lobster on the menu.Overnight stay: Crail<\/p>\n\n

          Day 4: From Crail to St. Andrews (cliff finale & golf legends)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

            This is the longest day and feels like a true final stage. You\u2019ll walk to Fife Ness (the easternmost point of the peninsula) and then past a row of world-famous golf courses and the beach at Kingsbarns. <\/p>\n\n

            The approach along the cliffs at Kinkell Braes is spectacular: St. Andrews comes into view with its ruins, university town atmosphere, and, of course, the Old Course. Be sure to visit the cathedral ruins and the castle if you still have some energy left.Overnight stay: St. Andrews <\/p>\n\n
