Then <strong>Ramsvik Stugby &amp; Camping<\/strong> on Sweden\u2019s west coast is the perfect destination.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This campground has been run by the same family for over 60 years. It\u2019s less than a 2-hour drive from Gothenburg.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This charming, small-scale campground is located right on the Skagerrak, an inlet of the North Sea, near the fishing village of Hunnebostrand. It\u2019s a place to unwind while actively experiencing nature.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A peaceful place to stay\u2014cottages by the sea  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ramsvik feels like a green oasis by the sea. You won&#8217;t find mass tourism here, but rather that cozy atmosphere that makes a campground so special.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ramsvik has a variety of charming cottages\u2014no fewer than 120 in total. They accommodate 2 to 7 people, and most come with their own kitchen, bathroom, and patio. About 30 cottages have been renovated over the past 3 years. Some feature simple, functional interiors. The smallest cottages are about the size of a tent. Guests staying in these cottages use the campground\u2019s restroom facilities.        <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Best of all: they\u2019re all within walking distance of the sea\u2014most no more than 100 meters away. That means enjoying breakfast with a view of the water and falling asleep to the sound of the waves in the background.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, you can also stay at Ramsvik with your own RV or trailer. They only have about 20 sites.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Catching crabs on a shallow sandy beach  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The coast near Ramsvik is kid-friendly and full of things to do. From early in the morning until late at night, you can catch crabs with a net, a fishing rod, or a bucket. You can rent pedal boats, rowboats, kayaks, and canoes; there\u2019s also a playground and a volleyball court.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Restaurants, Caf\u00e9s, and Local Cuisine in Bohusl\u00e4n  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, you can eat at the campground. Ramsvik has its own ice cream shop with fresh ice cream from Gothenburg and drinks made with local berries. On the restaurant\u2019s terrace, you can try local dishes for lunch or dinner while enjoying the view of the sea.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The province of Bohusl\u00e4n is home to the most delicious seafood. There are also several excellent local restaurants in the surrounding area, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/skaretskrog.se\/en\/skarets-krog-pianobar-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sk\u00e4ret<\/a> in Sm\u00f6gen and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tantanton.se\/hem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tant Anton<\/a> in Kungshamn. Klevs G\u00e5rd is a farm shop where you can buy fresh local produce.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find the locally brewed beer <a href=\"https:\/\/smogenbryggarn.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sm\u00f6genbryggarn<\/a> at various bars and restaurants. The brewery is committed to a sustainable marine environment and a vibrant coastal community. They use marine ingredients in their beer, such as seaweed, mussel shells, and sea salt.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Explore the archipelago by boat, kayak, or on foot  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Ramsvik, you can easily explore the impressive Swedish archipelago. Rent a sea kayak or motorboat and cruise past rugged rocky islands, hidden coves, and small fishing villages.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prefer to stay on dry land? Then take a stroll along the famous <strong>Sm\u00f6gen Pier<\/strong> \u2014a lively promenade lined with colorful wooden houses, boutiques, and seafood restaurants.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another must-see in the area is <strong>Nordens Ark<\/strong>, a nature park where you can come face-to-face with endangered species such as the snow leopard, Amur tiger, and red panda. Also fun for young children: the petting zoo and hayloft.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ramsvikslandet Nature Reserve and Nature Park  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Near the campground, you\u2019ll find the beautiful Ramsvikslandet Nature Park, which offers lovely hiking trails for all skill levels. You\u2019ll hike along cliffs and have opportunities to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee along the way. It\u2019s also a great spot for trail running.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ramsvik and Sustainability  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ramsvik is located in a nature reserve that was formed 10,000 years ago by inland ice.
