Hotel Drumlerhof: Nature and Sustainability First<\/h1>\n\n

The Innerhofer-Fauster family\u2014Stefan, Ruth, and their daughters Emma and Franzi\u2014warmly welcome you to South Tyrol. They run the Drumlerhof with a strong commitment to sustainability. <\/p>\n\n

Drumlerhof is located in the center of the small village of Campo Tures (Sand in Taufers) in the Valle Aurina (Ahrntal Valley) in South Tyrol. It is surrounded by mountains, forests, and castles. <\/p>\n\n

At Drumlerhof, they believe that appreciation for the bounty that Mother Nature bestows upon us goes hand in hand with respect for humanity. This belief is also strongly held by the owners, the Innerhofer-Fauster family, who are passionate about supporting local suppliers, purchase only fair trade products, and have been running the hotel for years according to the principles of the Economy for the Common Good. <\/p>\n\n

Valle Aurina – Ahrntal Valley, an authentic region in both summer and winter<\/h2>\n\n

The Aurinatal has two ski areas that are ideal for the whole family and popular with locals: Speikboden, 2.5 kilometers from the hotel, and Klausberg, about 12 km away. With the Skiworld Ahrntal pass, you can ski in both areas, giving you 80 kilometers of slopes at your disposal. The region, with more than 80 peaks over 3,000 meters high, is also very popular for snowshoeing. The hotel organizes weekly guided snowshoe hikes in the winter. <\/p>\n\n

Hiking in the Ahrntal Valley<\/h2>\n\n

The Ahrntal Valley is also a wonderful hiking destination in the summer. Hotel owner Stefan is a certified guide. He\u2019ll be happy to show you the way\u2014or better yet, he\u2019ll join you on the most beautiful hikes. During the hikes, you\u2019ll enjoy a picnic at hidden spots, and when you return, a homemade cake and a delicious cappuccino will be waiting for you. <\/p>\n\n

There are many hiking trails to explore: the Arthur Hartdegen Trail, the mystical hike to Kalbachmoos, the Prettauer Alm hike, the trail from Ahornach to the alpine meadows of Rein and the Lenkj\u00f6chlh\u00fctte, or the Pursteinwand via ferrata. The hotel is an ideal starting point for beautiful hikes in the area. <\/p>\n\n

Regional and Seasonal Cooking Philosophy<\/h2>\n\n

The kitchen focuses on the best ingredients. These come from their own farm in Signato sul Renon, from the Taufrisch community farm in Campo Tures, and from fair-trade products. <\/p>\n\n

In 2021, Franzi and Emma eliminated the buffets from the hotel. This is because buffets are neither sustainable nor visually appealing. Drumlerhof does not stand for \u201ceverything\u201d and \u201cmore.\u201d You\u2019ll find a selection of products, depending on the season and availability, served at the table in the morning and with the main courses. This allows them to implement their culinary concept with a clear conscience. <\/p>\n\n

The 35 rooms and suites are spacious and feature light-colored natural Swiss pine wood. A hearty breakfast and (with half-board) a delicious 4-course dinner are included in the price, as is access to the spa both indoors and on the rooftop. <\/p>\n\n
