You\u2019ll follow incredibly beautiful trails along the Sentiero dei Limoni (Lemon Trail) and the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods), from where you can enjoy enchanting views of the Gulf of Naples. Let yourself be captivated by the nature and history of important valleys, such as the Valle dei Mulini and the Valle delle Ferriere. We describe the route below as we would walk it and as you can also arrange it as a guided tour. This way, you\u2019ll discover both the Amalfi Coast and the magnificent city of Naples. Of course, you can also choose to take other routes on your own. <\/p>\n\n

Day 3: Visit Pompeii and Amalfi<\/h2>\n\n
After saying goodbye to the hustle and bustle of Naples, take the Circumvesuviana to Pompeii. This fascinating site reveals a city that was destroyed yet, at the same time, preserved by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. As you stroll along the paths of that era, it feels as if you\u2019re reliving the distant past. During the summer months, Pompeii is packed with tourists. A good alternative is the somewhat quieter Herculaneum. In the afternoon, you\u2019ll take a transfer to Amalfi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. As you stroll through the narrow streets, you\u2019ll understand why. <\/p>\n\n

Day 4: Hike the Sentiero dei Limoni<\/h2>\n\n
7 km, +380 m, -380 m<\/em><\/p>\n\nGet ready for one of the most beautiful hiking trails on the Amalfi Coast: the Sentiero dei Limoni.<\/p>\n\n
It is a picturesque route along the headland between the towns of Minori and Maiori.<\/p>\n\n
After breakfast, you’ll reach the village of Maiori with a short bus ride.<\/p>\n\n
As you walk along this trail, you\u2019ll see the vast expanse of cultivated terraces. The scent of lemons wafts toward you. Here, lemons are grown using a special technique known as \u201csfusato amalfitano.\u201d <\/p>\n\n
As you pass through Minori, walk uphill toward the small village of Torello until you reach the church of San Michele Arcangelo, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the sea. Then head downhill toward Atrani to return to Amalfi. <\/p>\n\n

7 km, +200 m, -530 m<\/em><\/p>\n\nThe trail from Ravello to Amalfi\u2014all downhill\u2014is a special journey.<\/p>\n\n
After breakfast, you\u2019ll reach the town of Ravello\u2014a UNESCO World Heritage Site\u2014by public bus: 365 meters above sea level, with stunning landscapes and villas. The hiking trail from Ravello to Pontone is a nature trail featuring architectural elements from the era of the Duchy of Amalfi. <\/p>\n\n
You\u2019ll zigzag your way up through the terraces to the medieval village of Pontone. The final stretch continues through the Valle delle Ferriere and the Valle dei Mulini, where you\u2019ll come across the ruins of old paper mills. The streams provided the paper mills with the energy they needed. <\/p>\n\n

Day 6: Hike from Amalfi to Agerola<\/h2>\n\n
9 km, +800 m, -200 m<\/em><\/p>\n\nThis route connects Amalfi with the village of Pogerola\u2014a pleasant, shaded climb of 700 steps\u2014and with the wooded part of the village, known for its chestnut groves. You\u2019ll then walk along a beautiful stretch of the high trail through Valle delle Ferriere and turn off toward Mount Murillo: the trails are generally easy to walk on, but they are mountain trails. <\/p>\n\n

14 km, +330 m, -940 m<\/em><\/p>\n\nThe Path of the Gods\u2014Sentiero degli Dei\u2014runs along the coastal trails of the Amalfi Coast, connecting the hamlet of Bomerano di Agerola with that of Nocelle di Positano.<\/p>\n\n
The hike winds along a trail overlooking the sea; the view is one of the highlights of the Amalfi Coast. Along the approximately 8-kilometer route, you\u2019ll pass the Grotta del Biscotto (the \u201ccookie cave\u201d), so named because of the brittleness of the rocks, and see the remains of the rock-cut architecture typical of this area. <\/p>\n\n
Nature, sun, and sea await you on this roughly 4-hour hike along the Amalfi Coast, where the beauty of nature and the charming villages will make you forget any fatigue you might feel. The final descent takes you to the most elegant and famous town on the Amalfi Coast: Positano. <\/p>\n\n
