Here, rugged mountain landscapes alternate with picturesque beaches. Two hiking trails you definitely shouldn\u2019t miss:  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Monte Capanne: the roof of Elba<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Monte Capanne<\/strong> (1,019 m) is the highest mountain on Elba and offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the island. On clear days, you can even see Corsica in the distance. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Route options:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Take the cable car from <strong>Marciana<\/strong> (April\u2013September).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hike up on your own along well-marked trails. This 70-kilometer hike crosses the island from east to west and takes you through both mountainous and coastal landscapes.
