Anker Brygge is a charming “rorbu resort” located on the island of Lamholmen. It is situated by the harbor on a small island connected to the town of Svolvær—the capital of the Lofoten Islands—by a short bridge. The resort offers 27 well-equipped “rorbu” cabins and suites.
A rorbu is a traditional Norwegian fisherman’s cottage and is usually located in a fishing village. The cottage stands on land, but is built on stilts over the water on one side, making it easily accessible by boat.
Anker Brygge also features a gourmet restaurant, Kjøkkenet, as well as a popular seaside bar and outdoor restaurant. All of these amenities are just a few minutes’ walk from downtown Svolvær. You can also reach the city by car.
The rorbuer are spacious and modern, each featuring primarily two double bedrooms. Downstairs, you’ll find a cozy living room with a Smart TV and a kitchenette fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The ground floor features a double room with a queen-size bed and a private bathroom. Upstairs is a spacious room with two twin beds and a private bathroom. You can choose to book one or both rooms; if you book one room, the other will remain closed.
The gourmet restaurant Kjøkkenet is decorated in the style of a traditional kitchen, with furniture reminiscent of that from a century ago. The owner’s goal is to recreate the inviting and homey atmosphere and dishes from her mother’s kitchen, as a nostalgic tribute to mothers everywhere. You can enjoy delicious, traditional Northern Norwegian dishes while taking in views of the city, the boats, the sea, and the surrounding mountains.
The Seaside Bar, with its rustic Lofoten atmosphere, is located in the main building, which dates back to around 1860. This building used to be a fish processing plant and has been completely renovated while respecting its history. The bar hosts a popular karaoke night every Wednesday and often features DJ sets or live music performances on the weekends.
Anker Brygge offers a wide range of activities for guests, including:
