Portugal – Central Region – Alvados – Cooking and Nature Emotional Hotel

Cooking and Nature Emotional hotel

Cooking and Nature: A sustainable, boutique atmosphere in peaceful Alvados

What a sight! I stayed here on my way from Porto to Lisbon. Such peace and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The Cooking & Nature Emotional Hotel is nestled in the heart of the Serra d’Aire and Candeeiros. The 12 rooms are all unique and inspired by classic movies. You’ll enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding olive groves. The sleepy village of Alvados has a friendly vibe and offers a single restaurant. Other amenities are about 10 km away. Hotel “The Nest” is a 200-meter walk from the Cooking & Nature hotel and features a fine-dining restaurant that uses natural ingredients. Here, you’re in the heart of Portugal with countless options for hiking, biking, or horseback riding trips. We enjoyed a fantastic e-bike trip using GPX routes.

The philosophy of the Cooking and Nature hotel is to foster environmental, cultural, and social awareness with the goal of creating a more sustainable world. The hotel earned its Biosphere – Sustainable Lifestyle certification in September 2023!

When you make a reservation, we’ll do our best to accommodate your room preference. You can also participate in seasonal cooking classes (reservation required) and pottery workshops led by José Siphioni (check Instagram). A unique hotel with a focus on sustainability in a fantastic location surrounded by nature!
