Craveiral Farmhouse: a unique resort surrounded by nature in the Algarve

Charming studios, houses, and farm lofts near the sea

Spanning no less than 9 hectares, the property features four groups of houses of various types, ranging from studios to 2-bedroom homes. The interiors are simple and comfortable. Free bicycles are available for your use, which is ideal for exploring the large grounds.

You can choose from spacious and bright studios, various types of 1- or 2-bedroom homes, and farm lofts. The studios are spacious and sunny (40 m²) and feature an outdoor terrace with a pergola, table, and chairs. The two-bedroom houses are ideal for families or groups of friends (85 m²).

The farm loft (64 m²) has access to a private pool reserved exclusively for guests staying in the farm lofts.

Some accommodations feature unique interiors by Wewood and Smeg. Luxury amenities, such as a Hästens mattress, a bathtub from the NuSpa line (Green Good Award 2015), a jet stream shower, a small library, and access to a private pool, exclusively for guests in this section of Craveiral.

Three swimming pools, one of which is indoor, a restaurant serving produce from the garden and organic products, a nature interpretation center, an orchard, a farm with animals, and plenty of space. Here, you’re nestled between the countryside and the sea. You also have access to a sauna, a hammam, and a fitness center.

São Teotónio is a town in the municipality of Odemira in the Alentejo region. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the coast. This entire southwestern stretch of the coast—from Sines to Cabo de S. Vicente in the Algarve—is a protected nature reserve: the Paisagem Protegida do Sudoeste Alentejano. Rare animals and plants can be found here, and it is the only place in the world where the white stork nests on rocks by the sea.

From Farm to Table at Farm Table Restaurant

At Craveiral, organic and locally sourced ingredients are used to ensure the best possible flavor. The cuisine is simple, seasonal, local, and creative.

With plenty of outdoor tables and a genuine connection to nature, Farm Table is much more than just a restaurant; it is a long-term project aimed at implementing an authentic “farm-to-table” concept. 70% of the ingredients come from the Craveiral farm garden and orchard, and the remaining 30% from producers in the Odemira region.

You can enjoy breakfast (buffet or à la carte, depending on occupancy), lunch, and dinner daily at Farm Table. The restaurant at the country house specializes in Portuguese cuisine.

Pizzeria for a Good Cause

Like so many other things at Craveiral Farmhouse, the In Bocca al Lupo pizzeria also came about spontaneously. Craveiral Farmhouse supports Associação VilacomVida, an organization dedicated to young people with intellectual developmental disabilities, and the organic pizzeria In Bocca al Lupo.

All three were driven by the desire to make the world a little fairer and better for everyone. And so, three projects that seemed to have nothing to do with one another brought “Craveiral Pizzeria com Vida van In Bocca al Lupo” (open daily) to life.

Yoga Sessions and Artistic Exchange

Craveiral organizes yoga classes, training programs, and retreats. For example, it is organizing a 200-hour hybrid Gaya-Immersion yoga training program. In addition, Blank100 and Craveiral are engaged in an artistic exchange.

The BLANK100 x CRAVEIRAL ARTIST RESIDENCE supports artists who want to reduce their environmental impact by working with natural and eco-friendly materials and recycling products.

BLANK 100 is a nomadic project supporting artistic exchange, which began by repurposing a former furniture factory in Dalston, London. Within 15 months, BLANK100 organized multiple exhibitions, performance events, lectures, and dinner clubs that connected creatives from all disciplines. The concept was based on a strong belief in community and the idea that ideas need the right platform to fully develop.
BLANK100 has joined forces with CRAVEIRAL for a long-term artistic partnership, with exciting new projects set to be realized in the coming years.

Craveiral is a little over a 2-hour drive from Lisbon. It is 23 km from Cabo Sardão and 34 km from Castelo de Aljezur. Faro Airport is 109 km away.
