Nature House in South Tyrol, apartments in the beautiful Pflerschtal Valley

Looking for a beautiful apartment in the mountainous region of South Tyrol or a lovely place to stay overnight on your way further south to Italy? Look no further—at Nature House, you’ll find wonderful apartments that serve as the perfect base for exploring the area.

NatureHouse: Where Nature, Peace, and Sustainability Come Together

When you arrive at Nature House in the picturesque Pflerschtal (Val di Fleres), you immediately sense that this is a place where you can catch your breath. Surrounded by towering mountain peaks, waterfalls, and fresh alpine air, the house exudes one thing above all else: tranquility. But it also exudes vision. Because behind every detail, you can sense the passion of Karin, the inspired owner who lives and breathes sustainability.

Sustainable Living with Conviction

Here, it’s all about respect for nature. Nature House was built to the highest sustainability standards: energy from its own solar panels, heat pumps, underfloor heating, and a smart ventilation system ensure a climate-friendly stay with Climate House A certification.

The water that comes out of the tap? Fresh from the mountain and pure; you really don’t need plastic bottles here. In the kitchen, it’s all about local flavors. Many ingredients come fresh from our own garden or from local producers. A treat for both the palate and the planet.

Comfortable, modern apartments in the mountains

The 8 apartments at Nature House are modern, spacious, and fully furnished to ensure a relaxing stay. Each apartment has its own terrace or balcony with a view of the mountains—perfect for your morning coffee in the fresh Alpine air or a glass of wine at sunset.

  • Fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher and coffee maker)
  • Spacious bathroom with a rain shower
  • Natural materials
  • Underfloor heating and fresh mountain air through the ventilation system

Whether you’re traveling as a couple or with your family, the apartments are designed with an eye for tranquility, comfort, and sustainability.

Karin: a teacher with big dreams and a commitment to sustainability

Karin is no ordinary hostess. With her background as a teacher, she develops sustainable projects throughout Europe. As part of her “Run Around the World” project, she visited schools in the Netherlands, among other places. She raises awareness among people of all ages about the importance of physical activity and sustainability around the world.

Through Nature House, she embodies a clear vision: She wants to show what’s possible when you dare to be sustainable. She shares her world and her home with you, her guest, and with her family. Her husband Speedy (as head chef in the kitchen) and their two sons are also part of the Nature House ecosystem.

Home-like comfort in a natural setting

The modern apartments are fully equipped and easily accessible via an elevator. Ideal for people with limited mobility. A blend of relaxation, luxury, and nature that you rarely find so thoughtfully designed.

Pflerschtal / Val di Fleres: a hidden gem in South Tyrol

This side valley of the Brenner Pass is still relatively unknown, and that’s exactly what makes it so charming. In the summer, you can hike here past alpine meadows, waterfalls, and rocky outcrops all the way to mountain huts like the Ladurnerhütte or the one on the Tribulaun.

One of our favorite hikes? The one to the panoramic Sandjöchl, where you can see the borders of both Austria and Italy.

In winter, the Ladurns ski slope is just a few minutes away. Ideal for families. If you prefer cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, you’ll find dozens of trails here through quiet forests and snow-covered valleys.

Other tips in the area:

  • The town of Sterzing / Vipiteno (about 15 min), a charming medieval town with nice cafes, organic shops, and mountain views
  • The Gilfenklamm (Ratschings): a spectacular gorge hike across wooden bridges and past roaring waterfalls
  • Mountain biking, rafting, or rock climbing? You can do all that in this versatile valley
