Want to experience a Camino adventure, but with the wind at your back and the Atlantic Ocean by your side? This self-guided Portuguese coastal Camino cycling tour combines wooden boardwalks along beaches, quiet backroads through the Minho region, and the rugged coast of Galicia—culminating in Santiago de Compostela.
You’ll cycle at a comfortable pace, staying overnight in charming (small-scale) hotels, with your luggage transported to your next destination. Ideal if you want to experience the Camino atmosphere without having to lug a full pack around every day. You can book this trip directly with our local specialist. For the more athletic cyclist, it’s also possible to take the shorter version (9 days), which is also more affordable. Request a quote now.

Day 10: From Padrón to Santiago de Compostela (25 km)
You’ll cycle through Galician hamlets with traditional cottages and barns, past the shrine of Nossa Señora da Escravitude. From there, you’ll follow medieval streets to the cathedral square.
Accommodation: 3* | Breakfast
Day 11: Departure
After breakfast, you’ll continue your journey.
Are you short on time, want to cover more kilometers per day, or would you rather save some money? In addition to this extensive Coastal Camino, there’s also a more compact, sportier, and cheaper option.
This version captures the same atmosphere as the Portuguese Coastal Camino (the sea, fishing villages, and Galicia), but is shorter and features longer daily distances. It’s ideal if you want to pack the Camino experience into fewer days, with just a little more of a challenge.

Important route note
You’ll be cycling mostly on the same trails as hikers: a mix of asphalt, cobblestones, sand/dirt, and gravel paths, which can sometimes be uneven and rocky. There may be some steep climbs and descents. Experience with mountain biking and basic repairs (e.g., changing a tire) is helpful.
